I suffered multiple serious neck injuries over the course of my life. For nearly twenty years, I searched for real help and never found anyone willing to fully understand what was happening to my body. The injuries were severe. I had stroke like symptoms, constant pain, and persistent pins and needles running up the back of my skull. I truly believed I would never feel normal again. Part of the injury involved my jaw. It popped constantly, was always tight, and I had ongoing fluid in my ears. I saw multiple TMJ specialists. Most told me my jaw looked fine, pushed injections, or offered medication to mask the symptoms instead of addressing the cause. Then I found Dr. Ely. She was the first doctor who immediately recognized that something was wrong and could clearly explain why. More importantly, she knew how to help. I have been seeing her for a few months now, and the change has been life altering. I went from functioning at about ten percent to ninety percent. I can live my life. I feel like myself again. As always for the last 25+ years Dr. Ely and her staff are very kind, efficient, and provide a five star + quality service and experience from time I arrive through the time I leave. I hope Dr. Ely's retirement is after my passing and I am certainly hoping that I live a long life. Jerry U.

Having been referred to Dr. Melva Ely a year ago by a friend who has been a patient for many years, unlike a large dental practice, I feel like a valued patient, a person, rather than just an insurance card or dental plan. Supported by a great team from the dental hygienist, to reception and scheduling, Dr. Ely's practice runs smoothly and on schedule, always. I've never really met anyone who thinks going to the dentist is fun, though with Dr. Ely I would challenge that notion and at least concede that each experience I have had at Dr. Ely's practice is nothing short of pleasant~! BUD

Dr. Ely has been my dentist since she took over Dr. Swindle’s practice 25+ years ago. I have referred friends and co-workers to her because she is a GREAT dentist. I’ve had dental problems since I was a child but I trust her advice and work above any dentist I have ever seen. Dr. Ely has treated me for crowns, bridges, night guard, replacing old crowns, and does routine dental checks every 6 months. She has referred me for root canals and treated me for a jaw infection due to a cracked root after a root canal. Whenever I have an issue or a concern she fits me in ASAP (the day I call or the very next day). I feel very comfortable and relaxed because I know she listens to me and is gentle when working in my mouth. I never feel anxious or nervous going to see Dr. Ely. She is very smart, down-to-earth, and I value her opinion and advice. Dr. Ely’s hygienist, Gladys, has been cleaning my teeth for over 20 years (every 6 months) and she is so kind, gentle, and does a great job cleaning my teeth. The office is always clean, bright, and updated. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ely and feel fortunate to have found such a GREAT dentist.
